On 4/29 I had asked the question of whether QuickTime 6.5.1 included a patch for the security vulnerability reported by eEye.

ZDnet says that it did: Apple patches QuickTime flaw. Apple published a security advisory regarding the matter on Friday afternoon. Secunia provides details about the nature of the vulnerability: "QuickTime.qts" Heap Overflow Vulnerability

If you are concerned about this security vulnerability, then install QT 6.5.1 as soon as possible.  Note that there have been no reports of this vulnerability being used by hackers, but now that more information is available on the nature of the problem, someone may be tempted to try.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
