On 4/29 I had asked the question of whether QuickTime 6.5.1 included a patch for the security vulnerability reported by eEye.
ZDnet says that it did: Apple patches QuickTime flaw. Apple published a security advisory regarding the matter on Friday afternoon. Secunia provides details about the nature of the vulnerability: "QuickTime.qts" Heap Overflow Vulnerability
If you are concerned about this security vulnerability, then install QT
6.5.1 as soon as possible. Note that there have been no reports
of this vulnerability being used by hackers, but now that more
information is available on the nature of the problem, someone may be
tempted to try.
