Digital Black and White in Photoshop: "Some photographers who have recently graduated from shooting film are surprised that their expensive new digital SLR doesn't provide any way to shoot in black and white. After all, cheaper consumer models often do, and it seems to be an easy trick for a digital camera. But the truth is that even if your camera can shoot directly in black and white, you're much better off sticking with color, and converting to B&W in Photoshop after the fact...."
