The Insead Logoff Tradition
If you use a public terminal, you must logoff when you are finished. This is easily forgotten, as everyone here is so busy and important, so there are occasionally computers just sitting there, logged in but with no user. Since such a machine gives one full access to the user's email account, it's become a tradition to write a funny message and send it to everyone at the school. Very rarely, someone will come up with something so good that it seems real...
Meg Whitman, of Ebay, will be coming to speak here tomorrow (November 4). As usual, demand far outstrips supply, so there are many people who wanted tickets to the event but couldn't get them. An hour after ticket distribution ended, this appeared in everyone's mailbox:
