Life is accelerating. The end of all intense periods in one's life are, Lucky supposes, even more intense, and this is the case here. Just a week left, really, and it will all be over but for the diploma ceremony.
There is a frenzy of activity all about. Fortunately, classes are not too difficult, but job hunting and socializing are incredibly taxing. In the very near future, we won't have the luxury of calling each other up for dinner, buying drinks for each other at the bar, or arguing philosophical points after class. Thus to do all this now, to gorge on the experience before it ends... there is nothing more that Lucky wants to do. All else can wait.
Job hunting is continuing apace. It is remarkable how helpful other students have been, going far out of their way to bring people together. Several have helped Lucky enormously, and just saying "thank you" seems so inadequate; perhaps one day there will come a chance balance the accounts at the favor bank.
Spending time with friends, important all year, is now the primary key performance indicator. It is nearly impossible to envision life next year, without being surrounded by this class, full of wonderful and intelligent people (and some real bastards; this is business school, after all). The only constraint is that going out night after night eventually takes its toll, but no matter; there will be time to sleep in January.
