From boing boing we learn of the Open Government Information Awareness project, a new offering by the MIT Media Lab. The promise is that the OGIA will organize all governmental agencies and related individuals and parties in a database built loosely on the model of the Internet Movie Database. This is a project which has a great deal of potential, but in the early days of construction there are still some loose wires and debris kicking about. The entry for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, for example, identifies eight judges, three of whom (Griffin, McKeague, and Saad) are nominees but are not serving, having been blocked by Michigan's two Senators. None of the ten Sixth Circuit judges on senior status are mentioned.
