DJ CoolRay: i can see the scenario play out now
DJ CoolRay: your boyfriend walks in
DJ CoolRay: "Hi manda panda, how was your day"
DJ CoolRay: "grumble grumble check the fuckin site im not in the mood to tell you grumble grumble"
PsycoGoddess: haha

That's really funny because whenever someone asks about my day, I direct them here. I don't like retelling a story more than once, and the same holds for an account of my day.

This was what I wanted to talk about (taken from an article entitled "Showing My Color"):
Identity would seem to be the garment with which one covers the nakedness of the self, in which case, it is best that the garment be loose, a little like the robes of the desert, through which one's nakedness can always be felt, and, sometimes, discerned. This trust in one's nakedness is all that gives one the power to change one's robes." - James Baldwin.

Today was a good day, sort of. The latter part of my day was enlightening compared to earlier in the day which was stressful as a mutherfucker.

I won't bother talking about the first half of the day. It's not worth my time. Terry took all the ladies in the office (all 5 of us, sheesh) to lunch today in Bixby Knolls. Good time had by all. Nice to get out of the office during the day. I skipped out to the warehouse often, avoiding my work. Tomorrow will be better I suspect.

Now for this afternoon. In Sociology, we started watching this very interesting movie on teenage Amish and this phase they go through before becoming baptized into the Amish faith. After that I skipped over to the local coffee conglomerate. I walked in the door and first I saw someone using an iBook. Then I recognized the person using the iBook. I ordered my drink, sat down, and confirmed my speculation. The person using the iBook was my 9th grade technology teacher, Mr. Sutfin. Oh my goodness gracious. In high school, everyone HATED this man. Turns out we never understood him. Now that I am older and share the same love of technology, we understood each other. We both share the same hatred for how the Q**** program (edit from Google searches) is run as well. Wowza! I gave him an update on some kids I knew who were accepted to college, etc. He asked me to come back and visit; perhaps sometime next week. I'm really glad we were able to talk like we did. It was one of those conversations you wanted to record to listen over and over. I feel so 'adult.' Maybe I can talk to him and suck some advice out of his head. As a reward (lol), I hopped over to Best Buy and picked up "Resevoir Dogs." Maybe I'll watch it tonight.

I probably won't eat again tonight. There's nothing TO eat. Plus it's hot as fuck in here. Two computers plus the heater up to whatever the fuck my mom set it at. Jesus! Same at work, too. Everyone turns the heat up. Okay, our server room isn't even air conditioned. Don't get me started on our IT dept. (or lack there of). There was something else I wanted to talk about. Ugh...maybe I'll remember later. Oh, I remember. I want friends. I think Briona honked at me on my way into Cal State. I heard a Volvo-type honk, but could not pinpoint the vehicle. Oh well. Howie Day is on my playlist tonight. Too bad he's not showing me any love out here in California. I wish I had the money to fly out and see him. I know he's got new songs up in that head of his. I want to hear.
