Dear CMLS Members,
CMLS is in the process of planning a merger with the Suburban Library System. One of the most important elements is the gathering of information on member needs.
We have retained the Bronner Group, a consulting firm, to conduct a series of focus group meetings as well as to help with other phases of the merger. Meetings are held at both CMLS and SLS in Burr Ridge (www.sls.lib.il.us).
CMLS' January Focus Group meetings are:
Thursday, January 15 - 9:30-11 a.m. at CMLS (Suite 680)
Thursday, January 22 - 9:30-11 a.m. at CMLS (Suite 680)
Member input is essential and, in fact, we feel it would be difficult to proceed in this merger without it. These meetings will also give membership the opportunity to express service matters that are most important to them (both existing and non-existing), such as, consulting, continuing education, and grants, etc....
