[Item Permalink] Writing a short story vs. an article -- Comment()
I edited again the draft of my sf short-story about "Body Shop". I have now been writing the story for a week or so. Or is it a story? At least there seems to be some emotion, some truth in there somewhere. But writing a short story is different from writing an article with clear facts. Here I try to deal with emotions and characters which I don't seem to understand very well. But the story has become clearer.

Yesterday I cut away two or three pages. Now the lenght of the text is 15 000 characters (1800 words), which seems about right. I have written longer articles for magazines, but the editing is much harder in this case. Probably because I don't know how to write fiction. Perhaps I'll learn. Interesting to see how this turns out. A long way to go still.
