I'm starting my three-week summer vacation today. Hope it rains a bit, as we have had a record-breakingly dry summer here in Finland. (The least amount of rain in 45 years.) But I'm also hoping for somewhat warm weather. Not too hot, but not cold either.

Vista, where are you? -- Comment()
Fresh concerns over Vista release: "Microsoft shares fall 2% after it fails to dampen fears of more delays to its new Vista operating system." [BBC News | Technology | UK Edition] I'm starting to be sorry for Microsoft. Even after getting rid of most of the technology originally planned for Vista, the schelude seems to be slipping once again. And even if Vista is released on schedule, what about the quality of the code? And the beta testers seem to dislike the implementation of the new security system, which may mean that users will try to bypass it any way they can. And that is security of the worst kind.

US man says he killed 48 people: "A US man jailed for murdering a girl says he killed 48 people, which if true would make him one of America's worst killers." [BBC News | World | UK Edition] From the Finnish perspective, this is so weird. Why this kind of people keep popping up?
