Virginia shootings and gun control -- Comment() I'm thinking about the Virginia catastrophe and gun control, and also foreigners in the USA. I'm heavily against guns at home. (Though when I was a little we had guns at home, due to my father's hobby, biathlon, but my father is an extremely careful person.) I think the massacre should point out the need for a strict gun control, but the end result may be just the opposite due to increasing insecurity. Also, one of the lessons I think is how to get all cultures integrated in the global society, and here also I fear a backslash - Koreans may have great trouble to live in the USA. A lot of recent articles discuss the topics, for example Why Democrats dumped gun control: "Monday's shooting at Virginia Tech is a reminder that the party that once championed gun control has been running away from it since the 2000 election."
