As you probably know, Warren Zevon doesn't have long to live. He has incurable lung cancer and is in his last few weeks.
Zevon is a true original - his songs are witty and insightful. If you crossed Tom Waits with the blue-collar Springsteen you might get a hint of Zevon.
You undoubtedly know his hits like Werewolves of London, Poor Poor Pitiful Me, Lawyers Guns and Money and so on. But he is one of the few artists that give you a whole album's worth of good stuff with every release - not just a hit or two and some filler.
I first saw him in concert a looooong time ago in the John Carroll gymnasium and have been a huge fan ever since.
Check out some of his music - he is a true original and will be missed. If you are a fan, you can tell him so via email at zevon@artemisrecords.com
The days slide by Should have done, should have done, we all sigh Never thought I'd ever be so lonely After such a long, long time Time out of mind We made mad love Shadow love Random love And abandoned love Accidentally like a martyr The hurt gets worse and the heart gets harder
