Lack of Brains Disease "Parts of the cow that would be infected — the brain, the spinal cord and the lower part of the small intestine — were removed before the animal went to a meat processing plant." So, absolutely no one in this process thought that, "hey, maybe for marketing purposes..." why don't we be smart and eat the cost of $3000 to $5000 for this lame old cow and save everyone the trouble of having to worry about where the rest of this piece of beef went for someone else to eat. With all the federal subsidies going into the agriculture business we don't have one to cover the cost of a single infected cow? Alternatively, it seems strange that someone privately on the local level would not have come up with a better course of action. Perhaps this is not the whole story. 9:34:36 PM comment [] |
