DEAD, DEAD and DEAD ? EU - DEAD Canada's universal health care system - DEAD CAFTA - DEAD Which of these statements is not true? Difficult to get to Europe or Canada tomorrow to make a personal assesment of the situation. But, you can come out to the O'Henry Hotel this Friday approximately 11:00am - 1:00pm to catch a glimpse of our new US Secretary of Commerce Mr. Gutierrez who has been invited to town by Wilbur Ross to promote the struggling CAFTA trade deal. I'll be milling around with some friends. 11:33:37 PM![]() |
Oh Canada! - RIP Universal Health Care Canada is all a twitter today with their Supreme Court ruling that Canadians, at least in Quebec, do indeed have the right to spend their own money to save themselves from suffering or death while waiting to receive Canada's "universal" health care. The Court dismissed the Federal Government's argument which was essentially, it is necessary for some Canadians to suffer and die for the greater good. The case took 8 years. --Still shorter I bet than the time to get some medical procedures done in Canada. With Real Audio, you can listen to the inteview with the French ex-pat doctor who challenged the government and won. Many will enjoy his derision of socialism and Marxism in health care. A good day for individual freedom and proof that free men know no bounds. 11:28:17 PM![]() |
