Ouch!

Well, the Register certainly lives up to its standard.  Gotta say. I thought the $500 fee for Bloggercon was excessive, The Register really attacks it.  Course, the attack on Dave Winer should not obscure what are really salient points found in the article:

1) Blogs allow people to write on the net

2) Good bloggers are read because they write well -- not because they congratulate themselves for being bloggers.

The Register promises more in this series.

The Neo-Con conspiracy.

Bob Barr has written an eye-opening piece on the agenda of the Neo-conservatives (which include Cheny, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, et al).  Fascinating and scary.  You'll find it at Creative Loafing.

Abuse of Power

Using law enforcement to acquire political gains is wrong.  Ask some of Nixon's aides who served time behind bars.
