Wow. I'm officially 28 yrs. old today. Most people say I look younger than that, and then are shocked to find out that I have a seven-year old daughter. Happy Birthday to me...(send me a donation if you believe in my campaign, will you?) Happy Birthday also to Rodney Laurie, our wonderful Event Coordinator for The Libertarian Party of Guilford County. You're still older than me!
Last night on Channel 12 WXII (yes, folks, I taped it) the story about the calendar was sweet and short. First they showed my little princess coloring while I watched, my web site page and then me talking about how the idea for the calendar came about. And, no it wasn't totally my idea...:-) the funds actually go right into my campaign, not to the Party. TV is the land of sound bytes for sure. Say something longer than a second, and it won't be used. I will be talking about this experience to my Public Speaking class today.
If you only saw the story on Channel 12, read the article in the News & Record. And by the way-we have a few more ladies from the area like Tara Grubb and beautiful dark-skinned Treann Harris featured in the calendar as well.
