Yes, I went to Raleigh by chauffer to do the CNN segment with Rachel Mills. Got up at 5:00 a.m., dropped my daughter off at my neighbor's at 6:00, and started on my way. As it was early and I had no coffee, it was nice not to have to drive there. Once there, I sat in a conference room and sipped a nice, hot, steaming cup of coffee. Mmmm...I arrived early at 7:15 a.m.
At 7:50 a.m., Brad from the CNN office in NY called and told me that there was "breaking news" and they had to cancel. Perhaps another time. Next time if I do the segment, they are going to set it up so that I can go to a local station instead. I found out that instead of bombshells, they ended up reporting about bombs.
Even so, the story is appearing in the media across the country. Rachel Mills was on Crossfire last night, and will be doing many more interviews. I don't know how she can find the time. I had to re-schedule my College Algebra test just to have a nice ride this morning. We plan to keep the momentum going with calendar signing events.
On another note, I may not always include ALL of my campaign activities here, as I need to keep my opponent in suspense. Heh, heh, heh...
By the way-Please e-mail me campaign@electmedlock.org with your quote of support if you endorse me! Please add your occupation, town you live in, and let me know if I can use it in a campaign flier. Paul Johnson with the High Point Enterprise plans to do a spotlight article on me soon. Especially if you are well-known, he would like to know (and don't forget to donate!).
