Buried In books and living...

As you've noticed, I've changed the look of my web log. I am going to discuss whatever I feel like at the moment, and won't limit it to the dirty deeds of politicians. This look also reflects my absolute love and addiction to coffee! Really dig that  new drive-in Starbucks a mile away from my apartment. I always make sure I tip them well.

Yes, I've been studying a lot lately. I had a College Algebra test today and tomorrow I have one for Western Civilization I. Oh, and I'm turning in my Power Point project for Intro to Computers tomorrow...real skill that is to have. It was very easy but time consuming. Friday I also have a journal due and a quiz in Public Speaking.

Speaking of history, it's been very interesting learning about the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire. Human nature often finds a way to corrupt a government. I'm very fortunate to have an excellent professor, Dr. Jeff Kinard. He is very adept at story telling, and his class is very interesting. I'm going to see if GTCC's "Excellence in Teaching Award" is of interest to him. I can nominate him, but then he has to submit a packet of some kind. Dr. Kinard has published two books, The Battle of the Crater (Civil War Campaigns and Commanders) and Lafayette of the South: Prince Camille De Polignac and the American Civil War More to come, I am sure.

I've been listening to classical music tonight. I find my tastes in music broadening as I get older. Love to use Launch.com. They have tons of music to listen to and many different types to choose from. The only downside is that you can't hear the local guys. A lot of them like Fayetteville's In New Descent (new-age industrial) are on MP3, and get a few pennies each time you download a song. If you care for I.N.D. at all, they will be playing in Charlotte at Tremont Music Hall this Saturday, Nov. 23rd at 9:45 p.m. Etheric, a band I have yet to hear but hope to soon will also be playing that night at 11:15 p.m. It promises to be a knockout show!
