Going to see the Queen
Wow. Charlotte bound. It is going to be so nice living in a house. My husband (Eric) and I are just going to be renting, but it is a step in the right direction. We will be living down the street from my lawyer mother-in-law, and our landlord is her former boss. My mother-in-law is great, and she does have a life. The only special treatment we are getting in this deal is the high expectations that we are going to keep the place nice. Eric has a 10 minute commute to work, not bad at all for Charlotte. Finally, I get to see my husband every night.
Tom Bailey, founder of the Libertarian Party of Guilford County brought me some sweet honeysuckle and roses from his garden this evening. It is sadly, the last county meeting in Guilford for me (unless I visit, of course). Guilford County is and always will be my home.
So this week I've started packing and taking boxes down to the house. I-85 has been slow 2 days out of 2 so far due to road construction.
This weekend is my sister-in-law's wedding. My daughter Racheal gets to be a flower girl for the 4th time. It will be beautiful.
Other than that and the recent letters I've written in The Rhino Times and the News & Record, not much else is going on. School is over, and I've discovered that I wasn't cut out for a chemistry degree. At least not a full-time load. I think I'll stick with what I am good at-business, art, and (maybe?) English. Law intrigues me as well, but we shall see. School will continue at a snails pace this time (again) while I work. Wow, mothers have a tough job juggling everything.
Now that school is finished and the MS Walk is over as well, my plate seems awfully empty. Packing and moving, looking for a job again-well maybe not. The fun is over, but more has just begun.
Hmm, is a blog re-vamp in order? Perhaps. Maybe it's my lack of blogging or content? I am just not satisfied. I can see changing to an all "Positive News" format. All positive, all the time.
