The man's got a point here "Why I Don't Use RSS", but I have to admit sometimes it's so convenient ;-).
OTOH, I'm using the RSS reader just to see what happens, especially news-sites, and use the 'Open in Tabs' feature of Safari to check out my list of websites I read on a daily basis. The other point well taken is that I found a lot of useful links on the websites the feed originated from, so I always read the things that interest me on the site and not in my RSS reader anyway.
