Choices and Chances

Often times in our lives we are faced with choices. Most of these are simple. "What am I going to wear today?" "What's for dinner?" We go about not really concerned with the outcomes of these choices and they don't really bother us that much. Then there are the big choices that we make, the ones that we antagonize over, pray over and sometimes cry over. These are the choices that change our lives, hopefully for the better, but sometimes for the worse.

Chances are different. We take chances in life all the time. With how we deal with people, who we let in our lives and the kinds of things that we let other people know about ourselves. Chances hurt us sometimes too. It involves us putting ourselves out there and making our hearts vunerable to hurt and pain. This is not an easy thing, human nature tells us to protect ourselves, to not let yourself get hurt.

Learning to love someone means to take a chance. To make a choice.

"Loving someone is a choice, you can become infatuated or obsessed but you make a choice to love them. When that happens you can never fall out of love with that person."

Thank you Angel for showing me things that I have known only in my dreams. Thank you for being you. Thank you Angel for loving me without consequence. Thank you for showing me what it truly means to love someone. Thanks for making the choice so easy, and showing me that chances are sometimes worth taking. I thank God for sending me you. For sending me my own.....Angel.
