Astronomical Decoration on Ceramics, Modern- part III Logan Johnson created a platter with an image of a supernova on it. By understanding this, what would have been a rather interesting graphic design, instead adds several layers of meaning to the piece. We can see it as a window into another place, a comment on the unfolding event and the bounded platter, subjective feelings about objective science, the simple act of eating/pottery and the large and complex forces of the universe.
