Astronomical Decorations on Ceramics, Modern part IX Phil has a nice sundial made with a face of ceramic tile. Of particular interest to me, is that by using a nodus, the sundial can show a particular date, as well as time.  Phil has marked birthdays and an anniversary.  Thus, the piece is given more meaning as well as personal meaning. One could imagine such dials marking other date(s) -say the solstice/equinox or perhaps a historically significant date like Dec 2.  Such a dial could have numerous and changing meanings as dates are highlighted.  In a way, ceramic performance art. 10:03:25 PM
