Catch a Falling Star- Out on the back deck, checking out the Perseid meteor shower... Unlike my usual activity with the telescope, checking the plainisphere, flipping through the star chart, reading various texts, twiddleing with knobs, squinting with a red flashlight, etc... watching meteors consisted of laying on the hamock. Watching meteors was just keeping my eyes open and wide as possible.  It was great just to take it all in. We saw some good ones, early in the evening.  I got up at 2 am to check out the show and saw a shooting star at least once a minute for the 45 minutes I was out there. Didn't even notice many mosquitos... 7:20:55 AM
