CSS Rescue:  Thanks to Rory for his gracious offer to help with my blog layout, and thanks to Ernie for suggesting that I contact him.  Many thanks, also, to Ailina for her helpful tips and encouragement, feedback, and support in this regard and on blogging in general.

Rory delved into CSS, using a book called Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) by Example, and I like what he's done with his blog.  He said he'd give me a copy of his main template, after he works on it to add some comments to help edit it (*sweet*).  Meanwhile, I was oh-so-happy to find that the Lafayette Public Library has the book, and I was able to put in my request.  While I was at it, I also requested Cascading Style Sheets:  The Definitive Guide.  (My pride will still not allow me to read any how-to book with Dummies in the title.)  So, in the near future, look for my blog to be either (a) completely consumed by the header, or (b) vastly improved (at least, aesthetically).

Rich Karpinski: "I'm working on a story for InternetWeek on the recent activity in the browser 'market.' I'm most interested in what the browser has the potential to become. Clearly, it's an area that's been fairly stagnant the past few years." [Scripting News]  Contribute to the research by weighing in on your browser preference or leaving a comment here.

Naked Ownership - All Things Legal in Louisiana

"More Louisiana Blog News - Here is another fascinating law site called Naked Ownership - All Things Legal in Louisiana (XML feed available).  I am not saying we are going to achieve critical mass in the blawgosphere any time soon, but clearly we are accelerating at an impressive pace." [Ernie the Attorney]  This is a welcome new online resource for Louisiana news and law -- I couldn't subscribe to this feed fast enough!  And there's even a Louisiana law search page here.

"Lawyers as pundits, by way of the Web. My column last month looked at what I called 'practica' blogs -- those that focus on law or law practice. Not wanting to overlook the many lawyers who publish blogs that may touch on the law, but are by no means preoccupied with it, I devoted this month's column to them." [LawSites]  Read the articles for an overview of some of the most popular blawgs.
