XML, the standard for universal data exchange, extends the reach of FileMaker Pro 6. With the XML support in FileMaker Pro 6, developers and power users can create solutions that connect workgroups and other users with a virtually limitless number of other applications. Using the new XML export feature, users can now export data in formats that are native to the applications that their co-workers and customers normally use.
XML data exchange is made possible by XSLT stylesheets, which transform XML data into a grammar that FileMaker Pro 6 can import. XSLT stylesheets are also used during export to perform a rich variety of transformations of XML data into other specified text and graphic formats.
