Friday Five — Music
1. What was the first band you saw in concert? The only band I've seen—overprotective parents as teen, cash shortage or bad timing since—was Paul Revere and the Raiders, back when all of us were much younger. (Or does the Seattle Symphony count as a band?)
2. Who is your favorite artist/band now? No-one in particular, but I generally choose to listen to country.
3. What's your favorite song? "Should've Been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith
4. If you could play any instrument, what would it be? Classical guitar. (Too bad my mom never hit on that in her quest to make me into a musician!) I did enjoy the oboe during my short stint in school orchestra and wouldn't mind giving that another go. (I drool over the oboe solo in the Miss Marple theme music.)
5. If you could meet any musical icon (past or present), who would it be and why? Quite honestly, I've spent enough time with musicians that I really don't want to hang out with more musicians unless we share other interests and skip the music. (Now if you asked me about baseball players I'd like to meet...)
