Dead Computer = Deadly Waste

* Lead - computer monitors and TV tubes contain leaded glass. A monitor contains about 6kg of lead.

* Cadmium - mainly from rechargeable nickel-cadmium (NiCad) batteries, found in laptops, semiconductors, chip resistors, and old monitors.

* Mercury - used in laptop batteries, printed circuit boards, and mobile phones.

* Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) - Transformers and capacitors in electronic devices may contain small quantities of PCBs.

* Plastics - make up about 22 per cent of a computer.

So Bad He Was Good

Last night: Texas Rangers 4, Seattle Mariners 2

The way I see it, Chan Ho Park owes Carl Everett big. That diving catch Everett made certainly saved a couple of runs. On the other hand, with Park so wild, our guys should not have even bothered to swing at any of Park's pitches. He'd certainly have walked in a few runs if Mariners batters hadn't helped him out by trying to hit! (Like it or not, we pretty much expect Rafael Palmeiro to hit one out. Not a big deal by itself.)

    I Definitely Identify!
I had absentmindedly forgotten to bring my coping skills with me today! There they were on the kitchen counter, right where I left them this morning, next to the sack lunch I also forgot to bring to work with me.
