I'm trying to get NetNewsWire to work, but I can't manage to figure out what settings to enter in order to edit my blog. Too bad they don't include instructions for this. Has anybody set up NetNewsWire with Radio Userland?

I'm seriously considering opening Presence up to the world on a SourceForge site as a BSD-licensed product. The new product that I'm developing, while similar, is developed as standards-based from the ground up. And Presence has been quite a flop, probably because there are other systems (such as Wiki) that will do the same thing for cheap or free, and aren't tied to the Mac OS and proprietary file formats. And discontinuing a product, even if it's sold literally tens of copies, always makes me feel dirty, as if I've let people down. But there's areas where my time is much better spent.

As for the new product, I hope to get some feedback from the community at some point when it's more stable and useable. I'm thinking of distributing it like NewtSync. In other words, sell it until x copies are sold, then make it free and release the source. If I want to make money off of it later, I can sell plug-ins. Does anybody know of a great mailing or discussion forum for Mac web designers and coders?

US working on lightning weapon. An energy weapon powerful enough to fry computer equipment could be tried out by the Pentagon in a war against Iraq. Not that I'm happy about any new weapons technology, but at least this is one that will only hurt electronics, and not people. [BBC News | Technology | UK Edition]
