DZUG Meeting 2004, Apr 29-30, Hamburg

I'm also slated for a talk in Hamburg at the DZUG meeting. I really enjoyed the trip last year. Zope in Germany, and more importantly the German Zope User Group there, are amazing to behold. Quite organized with lots of participation and activity.

Zope UK Launch Party

Zope in the UK starts with quite a bash on Mon, April 19. Aidan McGuire from BlueFountain and others have organized a wine reception at...the House of Commons?? You kidding me? Quite exciting. I'm giving a short chat about Zope and Plone in Europe.

ACCU and Python UK Conference, April 14-17

I'm speaking at this year's ACCU Spring Conference in Oxford, England. Here's a snippet from the web page: "This year's ACCU conference is hosting a unique 2 day forum on Open Source software, aiming to inform, educate and discuss some of the key issues affecting the software industry today." There is an entire conference track on Python. I'm on two panels, chairing one panel, and giving a brief "State of Zope and Plone" mini-talk.

Andy Robinson from ReportLab has done a wonderful job at bringing in distinguished speakers in other fields. Putting the conference in Oxford made this outreach possible. Thus, I expect the Open Source track to really shine, and more importantly, to attract good publicity.
