Dancers

I walk past this tree every morning while walking my dog.  Each time it catches my attention.  I took this photograph because I wanted to show the two dancers that I see every morning.  A friend of mine informed me that the trees simply looked "distorted, but that he liked them."  Just the other day I was walking on the opposite side and realized that one of the trees looks like it is extending out to grab the next person that passes by.  (I'm sure I had a very vivid imagination as a kid).  I will have to shoot the trees again from the other angle so that you can see what I am talking about.

Quote

There are painters who transform the sun into a yellow spot, but there are others, who thanks to their art and intelligence, tranform the yellow spot into the sun.  Pablo Picasso

Every now and then I will provide a link to a photographer who I believe has or had the ability to transform "the yellow spot into the sun."   1.  Yousef Karsh

Audience

I am really not really sure who visits my site.  I am confident that some of my friends visit it on occassion out of fear that I may quiz them on my latest entry.  Some may stop by because they want to see what I have worked on lately, or what I might be thinking about on a particular topic.  I am confident my mom reads it to reassure herself that she did give me at least a fraction of her artistic abilities.  The rest of you (if there are any others) - -  well I'm really not sure, but I do appreciate your comments.

I do not really have an audience for my work, and I'm really not trying to gain a large one.  I enjoy photography and I enjoy sharing the end result.  If one or two people take a look at what I have done and enjoy it then I feel that have accomplished something.  If one or two people take a look at what I've done and say "that's a mistake," then I have again accomplished something.

I think the size of your audience is a personal choice.  I do not expect any kind of great notoriety from my photography, nor am I trying to achieve that, but I do enjoy knowing that a few people may take the time to look at my end product.  The satisfaction that I get from my photography comes from trying to put the ordinary on paper in an unordinary way.  Of course, I do not always accomplish what I set out to do.  I guess I will have to let my audience be the judge of that.
