Evolution, intelligent design Simpsons style.

WashingtonPost: "President Bush on Saturday condemned Iran's seizure of 15 British sailors and marines as 'inexcusable behavior' and demanded that the 'hostages' be released, weighing in for the first time as the situation escalates into a sustained confrontation with Tehran."

Tut tut, George. For once your soldiers are properly fed and lodged. They are well groomed and all rosy. Let them have a few days of rest and peace.

Newswire: "The Dean of Christchurch says his office has been fielding calls about an April Fools joke suggesting the Cathedral will need to be pulled down. The Very Reverend Peter Beck says a local newspaper article said huge cracks had appeared in the Cathedral and it would be demolished next week.
He says it also said the Anglicans would join the Catholic Cathedral, and that Russian businessmen planned to build a hotel and aquarium on the Cathedral site. Reverend Beck says the story is a bit over the top and has concerned some locals. He says some people who called were very upset, and needed assurance that it was a joke."

Quite tasteless, indeed. I am not really good at April Fools jokes, but something about Tony Blair going to spend his holidays in sunny Basra and asking for donations would be more in line. Or prince Harry committing himself to clean out the night clubs of Baghdad of photographers and requesting red carpets from all concerned citizens to hang around his neck (the carpets that is, not the citizens - well all young females may apply).

Museum of Hoaxes.
