FLASH MOBBING
Flash mobs descend upon Europe.
I see great possibilities: break into the tv-news (which will change the meaning of the term 'breaking news') with a short news message that does not contain a lie 'and now for something quite different', a yell from the balcony in Parliament 'we are the people', a shout to our Queen 'my kingdom for a house' (this is Holland, you know).

TURN THE HEAT OFF
IPPR: "The Kyoto approach is flawed and future international climate policy must use a radically different approach based on social justice and science. Research published in New Economy, the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr) journal, argues that global agreements on a safe level of global greenhouse gas emissions and convergence to equal ownership of the atmosphere are necessary to cut global warming.
The Protocol is based on horse-trading between nations, not fair shares of emissions rights, and two major industrial nations, America and Australia, have opted out."
The heatwave we are experiencing now is a global warming omen.
