The shock among Californian bloggers and public is great. I hadn't expected Arnie to win either. Some people see some good things in his election. The best one is: No more Terminators.
Maybe you can find consolation in this: California is not falling into the sea, people. You can always recall him. Moreover, his budget cuts can only be in education, health or homeland security. You can make sure he doesn't touch education and health. What is left for him is homeland security. Now that the Golden State has a Terminator as chief, no homeland security is needed. I'm not kidding, why did the majority vote for him then, because he's the Terminator!
It has been said that Arnold doesn't have a program. Maybe HE doesn't have one, but the people behind him certainly have. Have a look at his agenda, and shudder.
Here's another thing to worry about: "If, as he claims, Arnold Schwarzenegger detests everything Adolph Hitler stood for, he hasn't gotten that across to his fanatical supporters.
Reports of dissenters being roughed up and having their signs destroyed at Schwarzenegger rallies across the state indicate this is a crowd that would look good in brown shirts with swastikas.
Jerome S. Kleinsasser, Bakersfield."
It's in fact the same problem we had here in Holland with Pim Fortuyn and they have in Austria with Haider. They attract fascists.
You'll find a way to handle him, after all your state motto is Eureka!
Keep the flag flying. The first thing Arnie should do is to put a decent anthem mp3 on the net, to replace that awful midi.
