Hassan Almrei was arrested on allegations of having ties with al-Qaeda. No evidence has been released to Almrei or his lawyer to substantiate this allegation. He's been jailed for two years and is now in solitary confinement.
Since a few days he is on hunger strike.

Holland is in distress. It's a mess. The press can't be worse. The country is for sale to the highest bidder. Privatization, deregulation. Cut the dykes, people.
The fiancée of prince Johan Friso had intimate ties with criminals and lied about it. This sweet girl, Mabel, happens to have as friends some of the mighty of this earth, to name just one: Soros, the greatest exporter of revolutions in the world. It looks like Mabel is the second Mata Hari in Dutch history.
In the meantime on the streets of Amstelveen, the wealthy 'suburb' (don't let them hear this) of Amsterdam, the Mob settle their scores with machine-guns time after time. Our police doesn't have a clue, as usual. Judges are spending their costly time on imposing fines on people who litter the streets.
A woman (drug addict) was battered to death a few days ago by a bunch of young supermarket thugs (I mean personnel). On a previous occasion supermarket personnel had beaten up a thief. They were fined for excessive violence. Our prince Bernhard then paid this fine, thereby starting a trend of 'take the law in your own hands'. This woman, however, had not stolen anything.
First it was reported that Bernhard firmly condemned the beating. Afterwards, it was denied the prince had made such a declaration. Would that mean he now also supports the killers?
George Bush, here is your chance, invade this country, the mess here is even worse than the mess you made of your country. Our prime-minister is one of your most servile collaborators, so you could take this land without any problem.
Up the Dutch Republic!

Aaron Swartz: "Stealing is wrong. But downloading isn't stealing. If I shoplift an album from my local record store, no one else can buy it. But when I download a song, no one loses it and another person gets it. There's no ethical problem.
The evidence that downloading hurts sales is weak, but even if downloading did hurt sales, that doesn't make it unethical. Libraries, video rental places, and used book stores (none of which pay the artist) hurt sales too. Is it unethical to use them?"
That's a water-tight statement.
