Damn, That's An Ugly Baby

This will be the funniest / most wrong thing you see all day:

Stephen Lynch performing "Damn, That's An Ugly Baby"

Best if you have broadband.  Even so, I'd pause it when it begins and wait for the entire thing to load so that it won't stop when the buffer runs out.

Clips like this are what DSL was made for.

If It Sounds Like A Bush

Just when you thought you had nothing to do with the next four minutes of your life, along comes the George W. Bush Soundboard.

Now you can replay to your twisted little heart's desire such Bush gems as:

  • "The country this country is a fabulous country."
  • "Uh, but uh the T ya TV was obviously on."
  • "Vladimir POOTin!"

I have no idea what context those phrases were spoken in, so there's a small, small chance that he was saying something highly thoughtful at those moments.

Just like there's a small, small chance he's had a highly thoughtful moment since, oh, I don't know, 1978.

I Wish I Had This Kind Of Time On My Hands.

LONDON (AFP) - Two British men have set a new record for visiting all 275 stations on the London Underground railway network, shaving 43 minutes off the previous fastest time.

It took Geoff Marshall, 32, and Neil Blake, 31, a total of 18 hours, 35 minutes and 43 seconds to dash through every station on the 408-kilometre (253-mile) network, known as the Tube.

It was the seventh attempt by Marshall, a computer expert, to beat the record. The six previous bids failed for a series of reasons -- missed connections, breakdowns, heatwave and a knee injury.

On this occasion he went into training for six days to get fit and identify the ideal itinerary using the Tube's 12 lines.

"This time we worked out a new route, although it only needs one train to break down and your chances are over," Marshall told the Evening Standard newspaper.

The men's journey started in northeast London shortly before 5:30 am and ended in the southeast of the capital shortly after midnight. They are keeping the details of their route secret, to protect their new record.

Ironically, by the time the successful pair had completed their journey, they had just missed the last tube home and had to take a taxi.
