Picturing The New York Public Library has placed online hundreds of thousands of images from their collection:  NYPL Digital Gallery.  The variety is staggering. For instance, I searched for "Hamlet" and got back several interesting photos from theater productions of the play many, many years ago.  They seemed big on tights.  Or big in tights.  Whichever. Somehow came across a collection of menus from 1851-1908.  Kinda cool to see what people were ordering way back in the day, but I couldn't find "nachos" under the appetizers anywhere.  No "awesome blossoms" either.  Ever wanted to see hundreds of photographs of Irish prisoners from the mid-19th century?  Finally the search is over! Manchester United is my favorite soccer team, but I never knew what their 1909 roster looked like.  Now I do. And on and on and on.  See for yourself. 4:56:21 PM     |

Is It Really So hard To Believe? These comics make about as much sense as the original stories.  Does taking Spider-man out make them any more believable?  Adding The Incredible Hulk any less so? 4:20:21 PM     |

10 Years And 100 Moments Yahoo has posted its Netrospective - a look back at 100 highlights from the past ten years of the internet. Some you'll remember fondly.  Some you'll regret remembering.  Some you may have been a part of in your own teensy way. Favorite moment for me?  #58 - Spam.  Says that in 1999 the federal government stepped in to solve the problem.  They did such a bang-up job, now they're tackling Social Security. 12:02:16 PM     |
