If They Post It, I Will Read It Actually, "it" should be "them."  Lots of them. Lots of what?  Quotes from movies about sports.  100 of them! They've posted some great ones, though way too many from Dodgeball for my tastes.  I also feel they should have stuck to movies that are about sports rather than letting in submissions from non-sports focused movies (Coming to America and The Godfather II?).  Regardless of my complaints, they did include some I know by heart: "Money won is twice as sweet as money earned." - The Color of Money "This is a simple game: You throw the ball, you hit the ball, you catch the ball." - Bull Durham "Look, mister, there's two kinds of dumb. The guy that gets naked and runs out in the snow and barks at the moon, and the guy who does the same thing in my living room. Life And Death, Only Teensy Ever wonder what the tiniest things in the world think?  Seriously.  What goes through what passes for the mind of an ant?  Or a flea?  Or bacteria? Do they ever get bored? Do they feel afraid? Do they dream? Do they mourn? What do they think of us?  As little as we think of them? Might have to wait a long while to get those answers, but in the meantime, you can play Microlife -- and through it gain a little empathy for those things more teensy.  Or screw the empathy and just keep the little suckers alive. 6:24:07 PM     |
