Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas

A Day Online

I love days like this. Online. Instant Messaging. Up-to-date on my e-mail. Watching for new posts on wired, Slashdot, and ZDnet. Finding cool new sites. Checking in at MIT Technology Review and in general, just hanging out. In an online sense, at least. Oh, and paying attention to the conference, of course............

Why Technology is Cool

I linked to this article from Wired.com. I hate batteries. They never last long enough. Just think what life would be like if a battery would last 10 times longer. There isn't much detail here about what a consumer product would look like. Would this be a rechargable source of power or replaceable? What will the form factor be? Who knows. Jet engines for cell phones is in the infant stage. I'll eagerly watch for further news and developments.........
