Identity 2.0

I'm spending a few days in southeastern Utah. Tonight, after a working dinner, a few of us headed for a web connection to view Dick Hardt's keynote address for OSCON.

Amazing.

The ideas shared about the future of identity and the problems with how we do it now are worth the time. The presentation style causes me to rethink everything I've ever thought or been taught about putting together a slide presentation. We counted, losing track of the exact number, but came up with somewhere in the neighborhood of 550 slides.

Interestingly enough, my google search lead me to Phil Windley's TECHNOMETRIA site and his September 9, 2005 post.

In the Identity 2.0 movie, Hardt asks about the future of identity and who/what will win. Then he answers with a genuine "Dunno" and invites his audience to participate in the discussion. Of course, he would like for his company to play a significant role............
