Hey, any job today is filled with long hours, difficult issues, collaboration with co-workers, etc. Sometimes it's fun. Other times it's frustrating. As a manager it is impossible to remove all of the pain from work. If it were possible, I'd want my work to be perpetually enjoyable and filled with satisfying work. But that's just a fantasy. Certain aspects of work just aren't fun. I'd eliminate anything to do with budget's and planning if I had my way. But those are just part of my job that are necessary without being altogether satisfying.

What I really hate is when we cause ourselves unnecessary pain. Like when we get hassled about perceived perks that just aren't. Like cell phones. I just wouldn't hassle employees in this area. It can't come to any good.........
