Work closing in

Last week I was out of the office four of five days and out of the area for three of those. I drove nearly 700 miles and responded to an emergency call to help finish some cat 5 cabling at Delta High School.

I was attending the UTAHSAINT conference on Wednesday when I took a call from the Technical Director at SEDC. We'd worked in Delta at the High School in early June. Part of my volunteer efforts with school districts. The cabling project was in a holding pattern, no progress since we left nearly two months ago.

Instead of sipping soda and hanging out at the conference I was driving to and from Delta and pulling cable. We were given the assignment of cabling two labs that previously excluded. That turned into a sixteen hour day.

Tonight I'm planning for next week. Two days in Cedar City in support of Cyber Corps and then two days in Price reviewing the UEN Technical Services strategic plan. Two worthy endeavors. Four days away from home. Too much travel. Right now I'm just enjoying time at home. Tomorrow the wheels will be rolling again..........
