We often get questions about how to install the BC4J framework on other J2EE application servers, other than Oracle9iAS where it comes as a pre-configured value-add part of the J2EE technology stack.

BC4J Framework Installer

In JDeveloper 9.0.5, as you can see in this screen shot snippet, we're automating the installation of the framework for various popular J2EE application servers. In addition, Oracle9iAS is on the list to allow you to easily upgrade the version of the BC4J framework that might have originally come with the application server version you are using. This feature should reduce a lot of installation-related questions that we and our support technicians are asked through Metalink and the OTN forums.
