I've added not-yet-documented example number 50 called "Simple Example of Runtime Component Substitution". This is a very basic example of a very powerful feature that is built-in to ADF Business Components to support layered customization of applications without requiring code changes to the delivered application. I often demo this feature when presenting ADF Business Components to an audience of ISV's, VAR's, and software houses who need to deliver applications -- like our Oracle eBusiness Suite teams do -- which are easy to customize on site with different behavior than the original application provided. The example shows the runtime substitution of a simple view object, but this generalized substitution mechanism in ADF BC works for any component type making it easy to extend an existing application to handle additional data, additional business rules, etc., without touching (or even necessarily having access to) the original application's code.
