The good folks at Needlenose, in this case posted by Swopa, have put up another fine bit. Here's the kicker, and one I'd truly love to see voiced by any of the candidates:
I mean, just imagine if some Democrat (preferably a presidential candidate) on one of these talk shows, after listening to the long stream of rationalizations from some Bushite apologist, said the following:

"You know, I think this is one of the times when we pay a price for having someone who likes to portray himself as a "CEO president." However much pride he may take in delegating things, when something like this happens and everyone's arguing over who was responsible for what phrase, and who didn't try hard enough to stop it -- it's natural for an American to think, 'Where's my commander-in-chief? Why doesn't he take responsibility?' Instead, his response seems to be, 'Hey, don't look at me about the State of the Union address; I'm just the guy who read the Teleprompter.'"

Bonus points for any impertinent reporter who gets Dubya to lose his cool by asking if he "was out of the loop" . . .
