Galway was interesting. I can't believe how much my old stomping grounds have changed. The Science block has been extended back towards the river; there's a new IT block to the rear of the science block; there's a new Arts Millennium building; they're building a new bio-medical engineering block; and St Anthony's friary is now the department of commerce.

The purpose of the trip was to research stories for IT's Monday and in that respect it was a success. Nortel Networks provided one while the University provided a further two, one of which however may not mature for a while.
