Snow Patrol

OK, add Snow Patrol as another great 2004 British group. Their first album was good but the second's even better... their website is almost as good as the Streets' but no videos and only samples of songs (mind you... samples of EVERY song!)

No Two Swimmers Float Alike

"One cannot measure people against each other without creating winners and losers - and while success may encourage, failure clearly discourages ... Insults or negative criticism diminish personal confidence and the desire or even willingness to try new things, while at the same time diminishing one's status in the eyes of other students, producing embarassment and even hostility" [Guy Bensusan - No Two Swimmers Float Alike]

Thanks to everyone who pointed to this excellent paper!

Scott Leslie starts off an excellent thread over at edtechpost on the problems with current CMSs / LMSs / VLEs / OLEs (take your pick!) and I've had a good rant in the comments. So, I post this to encourage you to go and have a read and contribute to the discussion and also as a reminder to check up on it myself as I can't get updates of new comments to that post (there's no email or feed options).
