Anybody in the UK reading this? Somebody forwarded this pic from the UK amazon web site...looks like The Santa Fe Sessions is "copy-protected" in the UK and EMI added some ugly text on the left bottom of the cover. Is that about right? Why not put a black bar over my face while they are at it? The beautiful color is due to the Bisazza tile used in the pool. I love those little glass tiles and found a company called Murvi, who make Bisazza-like glass tile in Argentina. Our cotton-tech (merchandise person) drove to ABQ and picked them up at the printer before picking up our crew at the airport. We will have two free postcards at our stand. One is a catalog postcard that shows little mini pics of the 4 SSRI albums: In the Arms of Love, The SFe Sessions, nouveaumatic and Transit. The other postcard shows the two editions of La Semana. Every person who orders from us will also get those postcards with their order. Not here yet, but also available on tour: a simple oval sticker that looks somewhat like this: Oh, yeah, almost forgot...we'll get the shrink-wrapped Limited Edition "La Semana" boxes on Thursday morning. Hey, nothing we can do...ask Carolynn about Mañana... All kidding aside, the people who are doing the shrink-wrapping deserve the job and we'll just all have to wait a couple more days. We hope to have both editions of "La Semana" available for purchase by Thursday afternoon.   4:41:26 PM  comment []   "La Semana" tour rehearsal Today was our first rehearsal for the tour and we mostly went over the older material I want to play. We touched on a few "La Semana" songs and Jon amazed us by playing the 3/4 ostinato from "Cocteau" on his bass with ease. We started work on a very cool medley that starts with "UnderWorld" and ends with "Cocteau". Tomorrow we will start by working out arrangements for the new material and in the afternoon, we will put the whole set together. PS: I bought a KAOSS pad like Canton used last year for our live-sound engineer and I am looking forward to hearing him apply it during our shows....(Thanks Eric).   4:15:57 PM  comment []
