Scooter Trash!
One of the neatest things about our culture is that it is so full of subcultures. There are folks who dedicate their lives to chasing trains, folks who go crazy over bicycles, folks who are nuts about pennies and folks who find a purpose in life laying naked on the beach.
It seems there is a sub-culture for everyone in America. I am just now learning about the scooter people. Some call themselves "scooter trash" a term also claimed by some who ride Harley-Davidsons.
Here is a great story about a San Jose gal who grew up with, and with an obsession for, scooters! It was photographed by George Sakkestad, a very cool guy who was a photographer, years ago, for the Spartan Daily back when I worked in Journalism. Please enjoy the story.
