Another day in Paradise
Steve Sloan's weblog. A bit tech, a bit bikes, a bit family, a bit friends, a bit scooters, a bit photo, a bit trains, a bit fun. Eight bits; that's a byte!

TGIF

Lake Pend Orielle sunset

This is lake Pend Orielle (pronounced pend-oh-ray) near Sandpoint, Idaho. I shot this photo while out chasing trains with Floyd. The bridge seen in the photo is US 95, there is a long railroad bridge near where I took the photo. When I shot the photo I was waiting for a train. It is a real cool place and near the east end of the railroad corridor known as "the funnel." I would love to do a lot more photography through there.

Friday Clicks!

Here are a few Friday links of interest

  • This link takes you to an amazing tale of a woman's motorcycle ride through a ghost city. I think you really need to set aside about 20 minutes to see this from start to finish. This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on the Internet!
  • This link and the next one were shown to me by Richard Craig. Have you ever asked yourself what would Abe Lincoln's legendary speech at Gettysburg have been like if he'd had to deliver it as a Powerpoint presentation instead?
  • This link takes you to a real ass kicking machine.
