V is for Verify
I'm doing a V-back on the Pepto tank--a bit dizzying with the raglan arm shaping happening simultaneously. How do you'all keep track? Neck decreases every fourth row, armhole decreases every third, how's a girl supposed to ingest any reality TV?
To begin the V-shaping, the pattern said, bind off three center stitches, which I did dutifully. But now that I'm well into it, the "V" is looking more like a "U." Will probably weave in a lifeline, rrrrrriiiiip and redo, binding off only one stitch; a V should have a nice point.
Question for you V-shaping veterans: I scoured the Vogue Knitting reference for information on which decreases make for an attractive V-neck. I've just been K2TOGing at the neck edge, but is there a better way? Do you'all do left and right-slanting decreases? At the edge or one stitch in? I'm not looking for eyelets, just a nice graceful slope. Suggestions would be most welcome.
Daily rant: Spoke too soon about the Episcopalians. I agree with Catherine D's comment yesterday. There's something fishy about these last-minute allegations. Heck, people could link me to pornography--I'm displaying a nekkid doll for all to see.
Praying these accusations will prove fallacious.
